As our National Representative Rowers & Coaches continue their intensive training following their announcements last month, The Club is proud to acknowledge two further GUSPRC Members since selected to represent Australia in the World University Championships Team for 2018.
Jackson Free (Men's Single) and Hedda Cooper 's (Women's Pair) inclusion brings the GUSPRC tally of National Team Members to 7 athletes and 2 coaches.
It is very impressive for a Club our size to have such significant representation on a National level ,and we offer all our members of this Team our congratulations and support.
Samuel Duncan, Trinity Rowing Coach and GUSPRC Committee member has reported that from the first GCASRA Regatta from a field of 260 Athletes, over 34 events, Trinity Rowing came home with 10 wins getting the season off to a great start.
Full season results will be detailed on this website shortly including a comprehensive breakdown of the Trinity Rowing Trophy Regatta at Murwillumbah last weekend where Trinity successfully won back the Jenny Pemberton Trophy. An oar-some result!
National Master's Regatta - Lake Barrington, TAS 11-13th May
Our 3 Athletes David, Andy Menzies & Nick Graham had a heavy bag on the return trip from Tasmania, managing to bring home 5 medals!
Club Stalwart Dave Hamilton had seriously heavy carry on with the D Single Bronze, E Quad Silver in a composite crew and a Gold in the D Quad in a composite quad. and the Bronze in the AB Mixed Quad with Nick Graham also of GUSPRC.
Congratulations Gents. Once again an oar-some result and certainly showing the younger generation how to get the job done and done well!
