Yes, it is that time again! Time to call on volunteers to assist on Sunday 5th August for our 12th Annual Paradise Regatta.
Jobs we need to fill are detailed below:
Tinny drivers ( with licence ) 8 required , 4 drivers per 4hr shift
Bow numbers. 8 required , 2 per 2hr shift
BRO scribes. 8 required , 2 per 2 hr shift
Beach Marshalls. 8 required , 2 per 2 hr shift
Car park attendants 6 required , 3 per shift
Hospitality tent people , 3 required
(you will see shift times when you register to help.)
You can still volunteer for a position if you are racing , it will just be up to you to find your replacement if there is a clash between your race and your job.

You will shortly be recieving a call for volunteering assistance form. If you can help out please fill in this form ASAP, your help on the day will be appreciated.
For those competing please ensure your coach is aware of the races / crews you want to be entered in as the call for entries will be made early next week. Reminder too that there will be boat loading and course set up done on Saturday 4th.

Learning to row is a great opportunity to develop some new skills, spend some time on the water, and meet some new people! Ages of participants range from 15 right through to 70+.
The Learn-2-Row Program at GUSPRC covers all aspects of the sport, laying the foundations for you to continue on through from Social Rowing or into a competitive path if you are so inclined.
During the 6 sessions of the GUSPRC Learn-2-Row Program you learn about the equipment, all aspects of handling boats and water safety, and how to take your first strokes. All from the safety of a beautiful, protected beach in the middle of the Gold Coast!

As our National Representative Rowers & Coaches continue their intensive training following their announcements last month, The Club is proud to acknowledge two further GUSPRC Members since selected to represent Australia in the World University Championships Team for 2018.
Jackson Free (Men's Single) and Hedda Cooper 's (Women's Pair) inclusion brings the GUSPRC tally of National Team Members to 7 athletes and 2 coaches.
